Following on from he last post...
Cathy suggested that since their other co-presenter, Josie, from Hong Kong had just arrived she might not want to eat out and perhaps they could all have dinner made by Cathy. John agreed quickly and offered to help. While Cathy went to pick up Josie, John stirred the soup, put the rolls in the oven and prepared the lasagna for backing. It was a good meal but John couldn't eat as much as he thought.
After the meal, the three of them sat in the living room and planned out the presentation. Basically, they are going to ask people what IT strategies are in place at their institutions and collate all the ideas so that everybody has all the ideas from everyone else. John's part is to explain one of the questions they are going to ask. What do the common practices at their place mean about the policies they have (whether implicit or explicit)?
Tomorrow a big group are going to go out to Waiheke Island and go to a winery for lunch. John told me he is taking the videocamera as it is a very scenic place. So, the next post should have some more video.
